Vineyard description: 100% Syrah from Alder Spring Vineyard , Emerole Pool block. Roussanne and Marsanne are the only white varieties used in Northern Rhône Valley.

Winemaking Info: 100% barrel fermented at low temperature with less stirring twice a month. All French oak, 20% new, 80% one and two years old barrel, mainly Francois Freres and Seguin Moreaux barrels.

Wine Description: From Mendocino this sophisticated, rich and powerful white wine is loaded with lush stone fruit and honeyed aromas. Ripe in the mouth with a hint of oak on the finish, it is reminiscent of quality St. Joseph.

Aging Capacity: 4 to 5 years.

Food Pairing: Truffled crab. BLT, Turkey with mole poblano sauce, pan seared halibut with frazzled leeks.

This vineyard rambles up the mountain coastward, amongst outcroppings of rock and virgin redwood with varied soils. The blocks are tailored to the specific soil variations and aspects. WINE STYLE: Dense ruby/purple-color, full-bodied, sweet-textured and hedonistic, with notes of mocha, blueberries, blackberries, cherry liqueur, chocolate, and espresso.
